Description
Developed in Canada, the Killarney Red Raspberry is cold-hardy, reliable, and disease-resistant making it an excellent variety for northern gardeners. It is an early midseason, upright growing raspberry that self-pollinates and has clusters of white, roselike flowers. Killarney bears medium sized, bright red berries that have great flavor and are perfect for eating fresh, freezing, canning, and for making pies and jam. This raspberry is floricane-fruiting, producing on second-year growth. The berries ripen early and bear for 4-5 weeks.
