Description
Our native tamarack is a unique boreal deciduous tree that loses its needles during winter. Tamaracks are very hardy and can survive down to -62 F. They are able to grow in wetter conditions but also thrive in rich, well-drained soils – growing faster to greater heights. Silky soft needles that present in whorls and delicate cones make this tree a delight to have in your yard. Locally grown and overwintered several years at Moose Creek Farm.
Landscaping: Full sun. Can tolerate moist soils.
Size: 1-2′ seedlings
