Description
Black chokeberry, also called aronia, is a deciduous, cold-hardy shrub with showy white flowers in the spring and colorful red foliage in fall. Produces heavy dark fruit that is very astringent. The berries are high in antioxidants and are used as a health food. Excellent in juice to balance sweetness and popular in Scandinavia.
